Lode Runner

Lode Runner is a puzzle platform game, developed by Doug Smith and published by Broderbund in 1983. The game's frantic action takes place in maze-like, static levels, where a single player dodges enemies while running and climbing to reach and claim stacks of gold. Blast blocks to access lower platforms or trap pursuing enemies. The Bungeling Empire has stolen a huge cache of gold from its rightful owners, and your mission is to infiltrate its treasury and recapture it. This entails progressing through platforms, ladders and ropes. so strategically use this technique to capture the gold imbedded in blocks, or entrap your enemies in the blocks!
The player controls a stick figure who must collect all the gold in a level while avoiding guards who try to catch the player. Collect all gold in the level and escape! But watch out for the multitudes of enemies and traps in the labyrinthine levels! After collecting all the gold, the player must travel to the top of the screen to reach the next level.
